

| Barb's Intimidator is getting a power and drive up-grade She wanted a little more horse power, so Red took on the job. Installing the 425hp 357 cubic inch small block Chevy. The motor is a 2000 model 5.7 Vortec 4 bolt, milled .030, bored .060 with flat top Speed Pro pistons, the 64cc chamber heads milled .010 with "Z" springs and retainers on Manley stainless steel valves, a custom grind roller 510/520 lift camshaft, on a a three piece roller timing set. Edlebrock 600cfm Performer carb, aluminum Edlebrock Performer intake manifold, and a ThunderBolt ignition. Aluminum high performance GLM exhaust manifolds, light weight high torque starter and a light weight 153 tooth flywheel. The drive up-grade is a 1.50 ratio Alpha One with a modified nose cone on the lower gear case, spinning a custom lab cut 14 1/4 X 23 pitch PowerTech propeller |

| Just a couple things to correct before the next run, replace the alternator and belt, shift cable boot, re-position the speedo pick-up, it's grabbing air at full speed, maybe just the heavy chop, there was 25 + mph winds that day, we couldn't trim it up for a max speed run, we are anxious to get it in calm water to do that. The boat is ready to be finished out, install the carpet and rear seat, the stereo system, incandescent lighting, and a couple top secret items Barb has come up with ... Stay Tuned ! |

| Now it's time to Up-Grade the instrument panel, Barb's got some idea's of her own for this job, she bought new Faria instruments, but they required a little modification to the panel, we whipped up a mold for the new panel, then Frankie, the manager of Eaton Quade Plastic's, here in Okc warmed up his vacumn forming machine and worked his magic, he created both the panels |
